The Bell Jar

Probably I would have given this five stars if I'd read it as an angst-ridden teenager. But I didn't and its awful self-obsession just depressed me. Flashes of brilliance, yes, but just flashes, not enough to redeem a boring read.

The book was an ok read for the plane. Not of the gripping and page-turning quality of Silence of the Lambs.

Don't Try This At Home: Culinary Catastrophes from the World's Greatest Chefs

Don't read this at home. A chapter or two in the library is enough. Its deadly boring, worse than a bad meal out.

Into the Wild

Excellent read. I wanted to know more about the main character and less about the author which is why it gets 4 stars instead of 5.
